Today, I’d like to challenge how you think about self-care, because it’s not all about bubble baths and meditation. Financial self-care can have a huge impact on our mental health.
Now, onto the big guns - the power to make life-altering decisions. You know how people say, "Money can't buy happiness"? Well, let me tell you, it can buy the ticket to freedom.
Even if all the signs from your childhood point to the adults in your life having a positive mindset, that does not immediately translate into you having one as well. There is so much more that contributes to your mindset, we all have so many experiences with money beyond our childhood memories.
The #1 thing NOT to do is to stick your head in the sand and avoid your bills. Avoiding them won’t make it go away, it will actually make them much worse.
Okay, you’ve got your goals, you’ve mapped out good-better-best levels for you goal now what? It’s time to make an action list. A roadmap to get you to your goal. What will you do each day and each week to get you there? What are the small steps and the big steps? Small consistent steps are the best plan to get you to where you want to be.
